Shiseido expands their R&D Facility in the US

Shiseido, the huge Japanese cosmetic manufacturer, announced that they will expand their research and development facility in the US by investing 500 million yen (approximately USD 4,550 thousands).

They are planning to develop their system, which is able to deal with patent prosecution while simultaneously managing R&D by increasing the number of researchers to 50, twice the current number, and allowing the employee to manage their intellectual property rights.

Shiseido was already developing their products such as “NARS” and “bareMinerals” in the US, and they are going to deal with the problems of product safety and IP management there, in the near future.
