Osaka University Top Ranking Institution in Japan for Number of Papers Cited in Patent Prosecution

Nature, the acclaimed English science journal, released last month the rankings regarding the number of research papers which have been cited in patent prosecution. According to the ranking, the top institution in Japan is Osaka University. Of the Top 50 universities and institutions, the US occupies 38 spots.
With regard to the overall rankings, Japan’s top three institutions to be ranked are Osaka University which is ranked 31st, RIKEN which is ranked 39th, and Kyoto University which is ranked 53rd.
