Sakamoto & Partners Held Trademark Seminars in 3 Large Cities in Japan

In July, trademark Attorney and vice president at our firm, Mr. Hirofumi Aoki, gave a lecture at a recent trademark seminar held by the JPO. Mr. Aoki is a former chief appeal judge at the JPO.

Mr. Aoki’s lecture introduced and analyzed recent trademark lawsuit cases and broke them down into the recent patterns and trends. He also provided information on issues related to trademark practice in Japan. The seminar was held in three of Japan’s largest cities for commerce, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. Many of the people attending the seminar were those who are in charge of intellectual property issues in Japanese companies.
