BiographyMiki MIYAMOTO is a graduate of the University of Tsukuba, the Graduate School of International Political Economy, where she majored in international law and received her master’s degree.

She passed the patent bar and was registered to practice before the Japan Patent Office in 2009.

She then started working at Universal Law and Patent Bureau (Hamada International Patent and Trademark Office) and was involved in the prosecution of domestic and foreign patent, trademark, and design applications.

After that, she joined Tokyo Electron Kyushu Ltd., where she was mainly responsible for the prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment (coater/developer, cleaner, etc.). She also developed an in-house intellectual property (IP) education system and worked to foster inventors.

She was registered as an SME management consultant in 2012.

In addition to her experience assisting with patent prosecution at a patent firm, she also has over 10 years of experience discovering inventions in a corporate IP department. With this wide range of experience, she strives to build IP rights that strengthen clients’ businesses. At the request of her clients, she also plans IP systems to help strengthen their businesses.
